This was an experiment....I took the meat of another sermon (Big Fat Mole) and contextualized it for a different audience and environment.
We have all played “I Spy” whether it be as children or during our vacation travels with our family. There is something that we need to “spy with our little eye” in our own lives. It’s there bigger than life, but all too often we never see it or acknowledge it. It drastically effects our relationships with one another and ultimately impacts the world,...past, present, and future. It’s there throughout the sweep of scripture from the Table of Contents to the Maps, and it’s most definitely at the heart of the Cross. As much as we don’t want to spy it, we have to. Do you see it?
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
This sermon is based on the teachings of Andy Stanley, Martin Luther King, Bruxy Cavey, Greg Boyd, and Richard Rohr.
